[Amsterdam – 26 March 2026] - Hana Bank today announced the deployment of iPiD Node from iPiD, the global Know Your Payee (KYP) verification provider, to power payee verification under UK Confirmation of Payee (CoP) and Euopre’s Verification of Payee (VoP). With one integration into iPiD’s participation layer, Hana Bank will confirm beneficiary name–account matches before funds move, cutting payment errors and reducing the risk of Authorized Push Payment (APP) fraud across UK/EU corridors.
Cross-border services remain core to how Hana Bank serves both businesses and families. By adopting iPiD Node for CoP and VoP, the bank adds a scheme-grade KYP layer without increasing operational complexity, enabling customers to pay the right beneficiary the first time.
From SME exporters shipping to the UK or Europe to Korean students paying tuition and rent overseas, customers will see clearer, real-time payee confirmations inside Hana Bank’s channels, helping them send with confidence and receive, with fewer delays.
“Hana Bank is playing a lead role in Korea,” said Damien Dugauquier, Co-founder & CEO, iPiD. “With one integration, iPiD Node lets banks participate in multiple verification schemes today and be ready for the next ones tomorrow. Delivering compliance, lower fraud, and better payment experiences at scale.”
Hana Bank is a leading member of Hana Financial Group, serving retail and corporate customers in Korea and worldwide. The bank focuses on secure, innovative services that help customers connect to opportunities across borders.
