Singapore, 22nd January 2024 - As digital payments continue to gain ground, overshadowing traditional cash transactions, the demand for secure and efficient payment platforms is on the rise. The collaboration between iPiD and Careem comes at a pivotal moment, promising to address this demand.

The partnership with iPiD has introduced a new payment experience, being referred as the “Breeze” feature, exclusively available to Careem Pay customers to simplify and secure international remittances. Users only need to enter the recipient’s bank account or IBAN number they wish to send money to, and "Breeze" takes care of the rest.

The "Breeze" feature is designed to eliminate the hassle of manual entry by automatically retrieving and confirming all necessary information of the recipient. This ensures that funds are sent to the correct individual, providing users with ease and peace of mind through a seamless and secure transaction experience

As the provider of the "Breeze" feature in the cross-border payment context, we are proud to join forces with Careem Pay to empower customers with convenience and confidence when making international transfers. This partnership not only reinforces our reputation as the go-to partner for fintech businesses in the Middle East and beyond, but also showcases our commitment to pioneering account and name validation technologies in cross-border payments.

VP from Careem Pay, Mo El Saadi, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with iPiD to provide our customers with an added layer of security and simplicity when making international transfers. Customers need to be reassured that they’re sending money to the right person, and the new “Breeze” feature, powered by iPiD will give them that reassurance”.

Damien Dugauquier, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of iPiD, expressed, “We believe that user experience and security are the two biggest differentiators for cross border transfers. Our collaboration with Careem Pay reflects our commitment to delivering innovative solutions in the digital payments space. Together, we strive to redefine the remittance experience for users."
